If you wish to produce Display Energy Certificates (DECs) you must:

- have gained certification as a Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) with CIBSE Certification.

- be able to demonstrate that you are competent in the use of an approved software tool to produce the DEC and Advisory Report.

Being an LCC is a pre-requisite for being an LCEA with CIBSE Certification. If you are not yet a Low Carbon Consultant Building Operation, find out more about routes to becoming an LCEA to produce DECs before sitting this course.

This course will provide the background knowledge related to Display Energy Certification and the role of the Energy Assessor, as well as an overview of the ORCalc Software used to produce the Display Energy Certificate itself and the associated Advisory Report.

Learning outcomes:

  • Building certification
  • Application of the legislation
